CREATING A STIR IN
YOUR HOMETOWN
By Kelly Fuller, NSD
Talk to people about your business…
Here’s my example from yesterday:
I went to the post office yesterday and
was sending some brochures to a broker on my team and had the box with me and decided I was going to talk to 3 people before
I left that place.
I talked to the clerk in the office who
politely took my brochure and probably put it in the circular file.
Then I took some brochures to put on the
counter where people write their info on their packages and stuff (Never too many, because if the employees spot them, they
throw them out.) My daughter (2 years old), as I was putting them down, asked the lady next to me “You want
a brochure?” The lady said “Sure, what’s it for?" I told her the information about our plan and she said, "I’ll
take one and look it over, thank you."
Then I was leaving and saw a lady wearing
a shirt from a bus company I’ve been hoping to discuss our plan with, so I stopped her and asked, “Do the
employees of Wolfington have a Dental plan?" She LITERALLY started to cry.
I said I was so sorry, "Did I say something
wrong?" She said, "No, I’ve been praying for something to come along and help me get some dental work done."
I asked what she was needing done. She said a root canal and crown. She saw our prices and was so excited.
She signed up that evening on my website
and also as we were walking away, she gave me the number of the company’s corporate office.
Create a stir. You never know
who you might bump into.
