Places To Find Newspaper Advertising
As you well know, there are thousands
and thousands of newspapers out there. I have found that it is cheaper to advertise in freebie papers. Like:
Pennysavers, Shoppers, and Thrifty Nickels.
Newspaper advertising can be a gold mine, if done right.
The smaller papers are usually read from front to back. If you are willing to do some research, it will be
worth it.
The Gale's Directory of Publications and Broadcast Media
is found in almost every public library. That publication will list every newspaper (free or paid).
Look For These Characteristics In Your Search:
When Ready To Place An Ad, Call & Ask These Questions:
- Circulation
- Any Other AmeriPlan® Ads Running
- Cost
- Any Specials Going On
- Which Section Would The Ad Be Placed In
It is best to run your ad consistently for 3-4 weeks to truly test it.
One week isn't long enough. If possible, do your research and find smaller publications that are close to larger cities.
Just try one paper first for 3-4 weeks and see how it does. If you do well, you can broaden your advertising efforts.
Below are some other resources for you to purchase newspaper advertising
online and/or to find newspapers. There are a lot of different resources. These are just a few of the
ones I found. Enjoy!
NOTE: To be courteous
and respectful of others, please advertise in places that other AmeriPlan® brokers are not currently
advertising in.
NOTE: Place your broker ads under the "Employment" section
in the newspapers for better response.
